Heading into the Santa Monica Pier we can already smell the sea within the breeze. We can see all the people enjoying their time with family and friends in the pier. It’s a beautiful day, the sun is shining, birds flying and stealing unwatched food. As we walk into the pier and see the guests on the pier enjoying each other’s company, we all decided to ask around if we can do a quick interview for our English class project.
As we asked around most people gave us a dirty look perhaps because they felt weird or thought we were crazy for asking. So we kept asking around and a few people were nice enough to give us a bit of their time. We luckily found a couple who were nice enough to give us a few minutes of their time. As we approached them the girl was calm about it and her boyfriend not so much, it seemed that he was uncomfortable. They looked like if they were in their early 20’s. Isaac, the boyfriend was skinny and tall, looked like a soccer player. He wore a black and white striped shirt with baggy pants. Katie, the girl, was a punk rock chick with a shirt that showed a bit of her stomach and some beige caprice.

Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. One of many other restaurants in the Santa Monica Pier. That will make your mouth drool for more. All the delicious food for all the outstanding guests to feel right at home. The pier also has many other food stands as well. Pacific park has it’s own little food court to eat as well. Quick bite into ice cream, pizza, pretzels, or quick drink to clench your thirst. With the nice breeze of the ocean and relaxing with friends and/or family.
If not known the pier has been popular in music. Some artists like Maroon 5, Victoria Justice, Selena, John Mayer, 30 Seconds to Mars, and others as well. This has tourists excited to visit places where Hollywood stars have been and made music videos. The artists have incorporated the pier into their music videos. The Santa Monica pier has been used for movies and TV series as well.

The Santa Monica Pier, is a place where over 137 thousand people go and visit each day, is one of the most famous beaches in California. Surrounded by the Pacific Ocean and sandy beach, it is found in the Los Angeles County, on Colorado and Ocean Ave. We hear seagulls flying over the sky, people walking here and there , crossing to get inside the pier, above them is the historical sign that was posted on reads “Santa Monica Yacht Harbor, Sport Fishing and Boating Café.”
The sound of the ocean kissing the shore never ending. The salty smell of the water fighting though the popcorn and pizza breeze off on the pier. Gazing at your every move, just waiting for you to drop goods so that they can eat it. The sun setting and the fog coming in from deep within the ocean.
